The Process & Quality Systems implemented in Tata Power SED are:

  • ISO 9001:2000, ISO 14001:2004 & CMMI Level 3 through an iQMS - deployed to integrate the design, manufacturing and support processes for meeting the applicable standards for the three Defence Services on Quality, Production, Documentation and Training.
  • Inspection standards of DGQA, DQAN, MSQAA and DGAQA

Multi-funtional tactical consoleTraceability of every single hardware and software component throughout the life cycle is ensured by a network support system for Configuration Management and Integrated ERP.

Tactical Field ComputerThe process quality to deliver ‘first time right’ product & services is at the heart of Tata Power SED business and will remain the focus of the “Continuous Quality Improvement” initiative. Each Project / Product has an embedded Quality Plan meeting customer’s expectations / specifications. Tata Power SED quality team is responsible for the Product Quality (Software or Hardware) ensuring the Project/Product specific Quality Plan is met. Customer perception about Tata Power SED’s products and services is measured year on year using AC Nelsons eQ process.
